
Technical Data Analyst, Quality and Risk
Role summary
Ascension is seeking a Technical Data Analyst to join their Clinical and Population Health Analytics team. This remote, full-time role focuses on maintaining data workflows using SQL and Python to ensure accurate data delivery to clinical and market leaders. The analyst will update Tableau and Google Sheets dashboards for payer programs, execute monthly reporting cycles, and identify/fix bottlenecks in reporting processes. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience, or an Associate's/Bachelor's degree, or 4 years of applicable experience. Preferred qualifications include academic or project experience with SQL and a foundational understanding of Python, along with demonstrated ability to troubleshoot data discrepancies independently.

How you’ll make an impact in this role
- Maintain SQL and Python workflows to ensure high-quality, accurate data reaches our clinical and market leaders.
- Update interactive dashboards in Tableau and Google Sheets to visualize key performance trends for payer programs.
- Execute monthly reporting cycles to provide stakeholders with clear, actionable scorecards on quality and risk adjustment.
- Streamline recurring data tasks by identifying and fixing bottlenecks in our routine reporting processes.
Education
What minimum requirements you’ll need
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
What Additional Preferences We're Seeking
- Technical Foundation: Proven academic or project experience with SQL (joining tables, basic queries) and a foundational understanding of Python.
- Resourceful Problem-Solving: A demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot data discrepancies or broken scripts using available documentation.
