Ascentt is seeking Data Analysts and Senior Data Analysts to join their team, focusing on building data analytics and AI/ML solutions for the automotive and manufacturing sectors. This role requires working on-site at manufacturing plants to analyze shop floor and operational data, drive data transformation initiatives, and enable data-driven decision-making. Key responsibilities include data mapping, modeling, analysis, and acting as a data consultant to translate business needs into practical data solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in Data Engineering, Data Modeling, SQL, Python, and reporting tools like Power BI or Tableau, with experience in cloud platforms and data warehousing.

Role Overview

We are looking for passionate Data Analysts and Senior Data Analysts who thrive at the intersection of data and real-world manufacturing operations. This role involves working closely with plant teams to drive large-scale data transformation initiatives and enable data-driven decision-making on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work on-site at manufacturing plants to understand operations and data flows
  • Analyze shop floor, production, and operational data
  • Conduct current-state assessments and build data glossaries
  • Perform data mapping, modeling, and analysis
  • Identify quick-win opportunities and drive micro-transformations
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, plant teams, and leadership
  • Act as a data consultant, translating business needs into data solutions
  • Bridge the gap between data strategy and execution on the ground

Core Skills (Must Have)

  • Strong experience in Data Engineering & Data Modeling
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python
  • Experience with Power BI or Tableau (reporting & visualization)
  • Knowledge of:
  • Data Warehousing
  • Data Structures & Architecture
  • Data Mapping & Governance
  • ETL Processes & Data Pipelines
  • Experience with Cloud Platforms (Azure / AWS)
  • Exposure to Snowflake

Good to Have

  • Experience with Power Apps
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing / Industrial domain
  • Familiarity with:
  • Lean Manufacturing
  • Six Sigma
  • IIoT / Smart Factory
  • Industry 4.0 concepts

  • Manufacturing

  • Experience in process mapping and requirements gathering

Location & Travel

  • Highly on-site role at manufacturing plants
  • Preferred locations: Kentucky (Georgetown), Indiana (Princeton), & North Carolina (Raleigh/ Liberty)
  • Open to candidates willing to travel frequently or relocate
