QA Engineer – eCommerce
12 Month Rolling Contract
Location: Atlanta, GA, Hybrid
We are seeking a Lead QA Engineer to support our growing eCommerce platform within a leading distribution organization. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of high-traffic digital commerce applications that support nationwide operations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically strong, and comfortable guiding QA best practices in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead quality assurance efforts for eCommerce applications, including web, APIs, and backend services
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts using Selenium (or similar tools)
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across complex workflows (orders, pricing, inventory, fulfillment, etc.)
- Partner closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps to embed quality throughout the SDLC
- Review requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to identify test scenarios and risks early
- Execute and oversee manual testing when automation coverage is not feasible
- Analyze defects, document findings clearly, and drive resolution through collaboration
- Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests and monitoring test results
- Mentor junior QA engineers and promote QA best practices across the team
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of QA experience, with experience in a lead or senior QA role
- Strong experience with test automation, particularly Selenium (Java, Python, or similar)
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and defect management
- Experience testing eCommerce platforms or complex transactional systems
- Hands-on experience testing REST APIs (Postman, RestAssured, etc.)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
- Strong SQL skills for validating backend data
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
