Technical Account Manager
Role summary
Buildkite is seeking a North America-based Technical Account Manager to join their Customer Success team. This senior IC role focuses on the technical success of high-value enterprise accounts, involving architecture, debugging, and implementation guidance. You will serve as the primary technical contact, lead onboarding, drive adoption, and conduct executive briefings with VP Engineering and CTO-level stakeholders. The role requires strong technical skills in CI/CD, DevOps tooling, cloud platforms, and scripting, along with exceptional communication and commercial awareness. Responsibilities include identifying technical risks, advocating for customers, and contributing to product feedback. Mentorship of junior TAMs is also expected. The position offers a remote-first culture and competitive compensation.

Role Overview
We’re looking for a Technical Account Manager based in North America to join our growing Customer Success team. As the deepest resource our customers have access to post-sale, you will own the technical success of a portfolio of high-value enterprise accounts, from onboarding through to long-term adoption and scale.
This is a deeply technical, post-sale advisory role. You will spend the majority of your time on architecture, debugging and guiding implementation, while partnering with CSMs and AEs who own the commercial relationship. You need to earn credibility with staff level engineers and communicate delivery strategy to VP and CTO-level stakeholders in the same breath. This is a senior IC role with expectations around mentorship and internal contribution.
