
Software Engineer (Fullstack)
Role summary
Seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain software applications. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement new features and upgrade existing systems by writing clean, efficient, and scalable code. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, debugging, participating in code reviews to ensure quality, and automating deployment processes. The engineer will also be responsible for writing complex unit and integration tests, maintaining documentation, and providing technical support for deployed applications. A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required, with experience in technologies like React, Typescript, Java Spring Boot, Python, PostgreSQL, CI/CD, and AWS Cloud Services.
## Job Purpose and Impact
Software Engineer job maintains and partners to design and develop software applications and systems. With limited supervision, this job collaborates with cross functional teams to implement new software features to meet user needs and business goals and upgrade existing software to improve performance and functionality through writing clean, efficient and scalable code and troubleshooting and debugging moderately complex issues. This job also participates in code reviews to maintain high code quality and share knowledge with software engineering team members.
## Key Accountabilities
- Designs and develops high quality software solutions by writing clean, maintainable and efficient codes.
- Leads the application of internal software deployment platform, methodologies and tools to automate the deployment process, ensuring smooth and reliable releases.
- Partners with cross functional team of product managers, designers and different engineers to gather complex requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Writes and maintains complex unit tests and integration tests, and performs debugging to maintain the quality and performance of the software.
- Suggests options for improving the software development and deployment processes, and implements the approved standards to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Builds and maintains comprehensive documentation for complex software applications, deployment processes and system configurations.
- Provides technical support and troubleshooting for complex issues with deployed applications to ensure minimal downtime and fast resolution.
## Qualifications
- Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 3 years or more of relevant experience.
- Experince with one or more of the following technologies:
- React/Typescript/UI’s
- Java Spring Boot/ Python / API’s
- PostgreSQL
- CI/CD pipelines
- AWS Cloud Services
## Compensation Data
The expected salary for this position is $80,000-$115,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance. At Cargill we put people first.
