We are seeking a customer-obsessed, product-minded engineering leader to serve as the
Senior Manager of Engineering
for Casting Networks product. This pivotal role will lead the development and delivery of high-impact product features with a focus on speed, predictability, and cross-functional collaboration. As a champion of engineering culture and agile execution, you will work closely with stakeholders across Product, UX, Platform Engineering, and go-to-market teams to drive customer value and business outcomes.

Job requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in software engineering, with 3+ years in leadership roles
  • Proven track record of delivering customer-focused products with speed, quality, and predictability.
  • Demonstrated success in fostering collaboration between engineering, product, and UX teams.
  • Customer-centric mindset: Strong understanding of customer needs and the ability to translate them into impactful product features.
  • Expertise in driving agile development practices to deliver results in fast-paced environments.
  • Collaboration champion: Skilled at building and maintaining close partnerships with cross-functional teams, including Product, UX, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success.
  • Technical acumen: Deep understanding of modern engineering practices and architecture, with the ability to influence platform engineering efforts.
  • Experience building applications using modern technologies such as Typescript, React, NodeJS, Postgres, DynamoDB etc on AWS cloud.
  • Communication and influence: Strong interpersonal skills, capable of influencing across teams and levels to drive alignment and achieve outcomes.
  • Exceptional people leader with the ability to inspire, develop, and retain top engineering talent.
  • Strong advocate for a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.

  • Instill a customer-obsessed mindset across the engineering team, ensuring features are designed with the end-user in mind.
  • Partner closely with Product and UX leaders to ensure alignment and collaboration at all levels of the organization.

  • Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing globally distributed product engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and innovation.
  • Drive agile execution, ensuring timely delivery of product features with high quality and technical excellence.
  • Optimize for speed and predictability, balancing fast-paced feature development with maintaining high quality and technical integrity.
  • Cross-functional collaboration
  • Develop strong partnerships with key stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and other departments to align engineering efforts with business goals.
  • Collaborate with Platform Engineering to influence and leverage shared infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration and delivery.
  • Operational excellence
  • Provide clear and consistent communication on product feature timelines, progress, and risks to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Ensure overlapping work hours and proactive coordination with dependency teams to minimize bottlenecks and improve efficiency.
  • Implement and refine processes to enhance predictability, transparency, and accountability across product engineering initiatives.
  • Engineering culture and influence
  • Champion a strong engineering culture that prioritizes collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Advocate for best practices in product engineering, ensuring a balance of technical debt and feature delivery.

Expected comp is $190,000-$215,000 plus bonus and benefits
