Key Responsibilities Of The Accounts Payable Specialist

• Manage high-volume (100 to 300/week) AP invoice entry and document retention with precision across 40 department codes
• Ensure expenses are accurately coded and properly allocated to appropriate accounts and grids for federal and state compliance
• Set up check requests, obtain required approvals, and maintain controls over payment processing
• Assist in cutting checks as proficiency and trust are established
• Maintain strong organizational systems in a dynamic, multi-departmental environment

Qualifications

• Minimum associate’s degree or in progress; bachelor's accepted; field open
• Prior experience in accounts payable or invoice processing (nonprofit a plus)
• Basic Excel proficiency and comfort with FundEZ or similar systems

Location

• Bronx, NY - On-site; local candidates only

Schedule

• On-site, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
