Position Description
Prime Solutions Group (PSG) is looking for an
Associate Software / DevOps Engineer
to join our growing team in Goodyear, AZ. This is an
entry-level role designed for recent graduates or early-career engineers
who are excited to learn, build, and grow in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
You’ll work alongside experienced engineers to help build and maintain
modern software pipelines, cloud-based infrastructure, and automation tools
that support critical national security systems. If you enjoy coding, problem-solving, and learning new technologies—this is a great place to start your career.
What You’ll Do

  • Help build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (automated build, test, and deployment systems)
  • Work with tools like Git, Docker, and Jenkins/GitLab to support software delivery
  • Assist with automation and scripting (Python, Bash) to improve workflows
  • Learn and support Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
  • Collaborate with software engineers to improve development and deployment processes
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum team meetings, sprint planning, and standups
  • Monitor builds and deployments, troubleshoot issues, and suggest improvements
  • Document your work and contribute to team knowledge sharing

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship (required for clearance eligibility)
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance with SCI and CI Polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field
  • 0–2 years of experience (internships and projects count!)
  • Basic understanding of: Linux command line, Programming or scripting (Bash, Python, or similar), Git/version control, and Software development or DevOps concepts
  • A strong willingness to learn, ask questions, and grow
  • Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills

Nice To Have (But Not Required)

  • Internship, lab, or personal project experience in software or DevOps
  • Exposure to tools like: Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Helm, Ansible, Terraform, or similar automation frameworks
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Interest in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.)
