The Information Security Engineer will be designing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving an organization’s security architecture, controls, and defensive capabilities. The role focuses on protecting systems, networks, applications, and data from cyber threats while enabling the business to operate securely and efficiently.
The Information Security Engineer will work closely with IT, engineering, cloud, DevOps, risk, and compliance teams to ensure security controls are embedded into infrastructure and development lifecycles. They play a key role in threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and the deployment of security technologies.
Responsibilities
- Implement, and maintain security controls across networks, endpoints, servers, cloud platforms, and applications.
- Monitor security systems (SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, etc.) for threats, anomalies, and indicators of compromise.
- Perform defined work to mature security programs and capabilities.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including root-cause analysis and remediation.
- Support secure system architecture and infrastructure hardening standards.
- Perform identity and access management (IAM) functions, authentication, and authorization controls.
- Understand and document our cloud security controls and SaaS platforms.
- Maintain security documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
- Perform security testing such as configuration reviews, penetration testing coordination, and architecture reviews.
- Assist with regulatory compliance and audit support (e.g., SOC 2, NIST CSF, HI.PAA, PCI DSS).
- Stay current on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.
- Help design security controls across networks, endpoints, servers, cloud platforms, and applications.
- Run key security functions or programs.
- Help identify areas where maturity is needed across security programs and capabilities.
- Perform security testing such as configuration reviews, penetration testing coordination, and architecture reviews.
Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience with requisite competencies.
- Basic Powershell, Python, and/or equivalent scripting skills and experience.
- Experience managing aspects of a security program.
Travel Requirement
This position requires occasional travel to support business needs, including team collaboration, internal trainings, and cross-functional initiatives. The frequency and duration of travel will vary based on organizational priorities and team needs.

The base salary for this role is listed below. This pay range is posted to comply with wage transparency laws. The base salary may vary based on skill, ability, knowledge, experience and geographic location. Full-time employees are also eligible for a competitive bonus and benefits package.
