Role summary

The Technical Product Owner will be responsible for guiding the development team through Agile ceremonies, ensuring sprint planning and prioritization align with business needs. This role involves assembling and managing complex datasets, designing and implementing infrastructure improvements for scalability and automation, and building data pipelines using AWS and SQL technologies. The Product Owner will also develop analytical tools to provide actionable business insights and collaborate closely with executive, product, data, and design teams to address their data infrastructure requirements and technical challenges. A strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, data lakes, Kafka, Java, Python, ETL processes, and CI/CD is essential.

Location: Dallas, TX (100% Onsite)

Candidate needs to be local to Dallas & must be ready for In-person Client Interview.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help team with running ceremonies by having prioritization, trade off discussions which help team plan for their upcoming Sprints
  • Assemble large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements
  • Identify, design and implement internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes
  • Build required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using AWS and SQL technologies
  • Build analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline, providing actionable insight into key business performance metrics including operational efficiency and customer acquisition
  • Work with stakeholders including data, design, product and executive teams and assisting them with data-related technical issues
  • Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to support their data infrastructure needs while assisting with data-related technical issues

Required Skills:

  • Experience: 10-15 years
  • Advanced level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in:
  • Cloud infrastructure, DataLake, Kafka along with experience in Java and Python.
  • ETL experience ensuring source to target data integrity and data transformation
  • Various filetypes (Delimited Text, Fixed Width, XML, JSON, Parque)
  • Unit Testing, Code Quality tools, CI/CD Technologies, Security and Container
  • Agile development experience and Agile ceremonies and practices
  • Knowledge of Oracle Golden gate or FLINK are a big plus
