Position Summary
The Junior Marketing Data Analyst supports the firm’s business development and marketing initiatives by maintaining accurate data in the firm’s CRM and collecting, analyzing, and reporting on various data to help guide strategic decisions. This entry-level position is ideal for a data-focused individual interested in understanding how marketing analytics can support client development, digital strategy, and brand visibility within a professional services environment. The position reports to the Marketing Director and is based in Philadelphia.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Data Collection & Management
- Maintains and updates data in the CRM system. Ensures accuracy, consistency and completeness of marketing-related data for email marketing and business development purposes.
- Tracks and reports on data health in CRM and connected programs.
- Collaborates with IT and marketing team members to manage data integration.
Analytics & Reporting
- Works with marketing team members to generate regular reports on marketing KPIs such as website traffic, campaign performance, email engagement, and social media metrics.
- Uses analytics tools such as Google Analytics and LinkedIn Analytics to assess campaign effectiveness.
- Assists in preparing dashboards and visualizations to communicate trends to internal stakeholders.
Campaign Support
- Tracks and measures results of digital campaigns, client alerts and event promotions.
- Supports segmentation and targeting efforts based on client and prospect data.
- Helps maintain mailing lists and distribution accuracy for newsletters and announcements.
Research & Insights
- Conducts research on markets, industries, and competitors to support business development.
- Identifies opportunities for marketing optimization through data insights.
- Supports client and contact data enrichment projects.
Collaboration
- Works closely with senior marketing and business development professionals to provide analytical support for strategic initiatives.
- Partners with attorneys and practice group leaders to provide insights on audience engagement and client trends.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, data analytics, business or related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in a marketing, analytics or professional services environment (internship experience acceptable, law firm experience preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI
- Experience with CRM (InterAction and/or Intapp DealCloud) is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI tools, web analytics and SEO concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to present data insights clearly.
