Role summary

Collage AI is seeking a UI/UX Designer to join their Product team in Cambridge, MA. This role focuses on human-centered design to create an intuitive and accessible platform for educators and students. The designer will be responsible for interface design across the platform, including dashboards, lesson builders, and assessment tools, as well as brand identity. Key tools include Figma and Framer, with experience in design systems and agile environments required. The position is in-person, 5 days a week.

Overview of the Role

We are seeking a UI/UX Designer who is driven by human-centered design. In this role, you will be integrated into the Product team and work directly with leadership to create a platform that is a joy for educators and students to use. To accomplish this, you will spearhead the design of intuitive, accessible interfaces for all aspects of the platform (including educator dashboards, lesson builders, and student-facing assessment tools) as well as our brand identity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in UX design, human-computer interaction, or a similar field.
  • 2+ years of experience in UI/UX design (OR 4+ years of experience without a Bachelor’s degree), preferably with a focus on AI-native web platforms.
  • Proven track record of taking complex user needs and turning them into clean and functional designs.
  • Expert in design tools (Figma) and website builders (Framer) with experience maintaining a scalable design system.
  • Experience working directly with product managers and engineers in an agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience designing tools for Higher Ed or K-12.
  • Experience conducting user interviews with educators and/or students to validate design decisions.
  • Experience with generative design and prototyping tools (Stitch, Lovable).
  • Familiarity with designing animations and marketing materials.

Location & Start Date

This role will be in-person at our office in Cambridge, MA. Candidates must be able to work in-person 5 days per week. The intended start date for this role is June 1, 2026.
