Role summary

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to join our team in Toronto. The role involves developing, testing, running, maintaining, and migrating data pipelines. Essential skills include Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, GitHub Actions CI/CD, and building/consuming APIs with Python FastAPI and requests. Strong experience with Spark and developing scalable, maintainable applications for ETL processes into various data storage locations like SQL Server and Hadoop Data Lake is required. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to understand complex data systems. Terraform skills are a plus.

JD - Azure Data Engineer:

Data Engineer who can develop, test, run, maintain, and migrate data pipelines.

Essential skills include Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, GitHub Actions CI/CD, building APIs with Python FastAPI, and consuming APIs with requests.

Terraform skills are a plus.

Years – 8+ years of development experience in data engineering skills

Strong experience in Spark.

Understand complex data system by working closely with engineering and product teams.

Develop scalable and maintainable applications to extract, transform, and load data in various formats to SQL Server, Hadoop Data Lake or other data storage locations.
