Role summary
A high-growth, data-driven technology company is seeking a Lead AI & Machine Learning Engineer for a remote, US-based role. This hands-on leadership position focuses on building and deploying production-grade machine learning and GenAI systems within their next-generation AI platform. The engineer will advance a Models-as-a-Service (MaaS) platform, collaborating across teams to deliver cutting-edge AI solutions. Responsibilities include leading end-to-end development, driving MLOps best practices, designing scalable inference pipelines, and modernizing cloud infrastructure. The role requires 8-12+ years of experience in ML engineering, data science, or AI systems, with expertise in Python, SQL, cloud platforms (AWS preferred), and production ML/GenAI systems.

The Opportunity
You’ll play a key role in advancing a
Models-as-a-Service (MaaS)
platform, working across data science, engineering, and product teams to deliver cutting-edge AI solutions. This is a high-impact position with strong ownership, technical depth, and visibility.
What You’ll Do
- Lead end-to-end development of AI/ML systems from
concept → production → scaling
- Build and deploy
GenAI, LLM, and ML models
into real-world applications
- Drive
MLOps, LLMOps, and platform engineering
best practices
- Collaborate with product, architecture, and data teams to deliver new features
- Review code, mentor engineers, and maintain high technical standards
- Design scalable
model inference pipelines (real-time & batch)
- Improve and modernise cloud-based AI infrastructure
What We’re Looking For
- 8–12+ years’ experience across
ML engineering, data science, or AI systems
- Background in
insurance sector
- Strong
Python & SQL
expertise (additional languages a plus)
- Proven track record delivering
production ML / GenAI systems
- Experience with
cloud platforms (AWS preferred), APIs, CI/CD, and IaC (Terraform)
- Deep understanding of
model lifecycle, validation, and deployment
