Role summary

Seeking a Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications. The role involves writing clean, efficient code using Java 8 features, developing RESTful APIs for microservices, and building secure, scalable web services. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, optimizing performance with data structures and algorithms, utilizing Spring Boot, and deploying applications on AWS. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Java fundamentals, OOP, and experience with cloud services, along with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain high-quality Java applications, leveraging Core Java and advanced Java features.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using Java 8 features such as streams, lambdas, and other functional programming constructs.
  • Design, develop, and implement RESTful APIs for microservices architecture.
  • Build and consume web services (SOAP and REST) ensuring security, scalability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Work with Data Structures and algorithms to optimize application performance.
  • Utilize Spring Frameworks, especially Spring Boot, for rapid application development.
  • Deploy and manage applications on AWS cloud platform.
  • Contribute to open source projects and stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of Java 8 and above, with hands-on experience in developing Java applications.
  • Thorough understanding of Java fundamentals and object-oriented programming.
  • Experience in developing and consuming REST APIs and Web Services (SOAP/REST).
  • Good knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms.
  • Proven experience with Spring framework, especially Spring Boot.
  • Experience working with AWS cloud services.
  • Ability to write clean, testable, and efficient code.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
