The Product Manager (Power Generation & Genset Systems) is responsible for driving growth and profitability by defining and executing market-led product strategy for power generation solutions. This critical role involves capturing customer needs, developing a robust product roadmap, and managing the full product development lifecycle. Success requires strong technical expertise in diesel/gas gensets, enclosure design, and integration of auxiliary systems, coupled with the ability to analyze technical and commercial data. The Product Manager will lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, and Service, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market trends in sectors like data centers and industrial energy.

is a critical, high-impact role responsible for driving growth and profitability through cross-functional collaboration and market-led product strategy. This role focuses on capturing voice-of-the-customer (VOC), defining a robust product roadmap, and delivering new power generation solutions—including generator sets (gensets), packaged power systems, and enclosure-based solutions—to market.

Success in this role requires close coordination with Product Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Service teams to execute new product development initiatives across power generation, data centre backup power, and industrial energy applications.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in power generation systems, including diesel and gas gensets, equipment skid integration, and acoustic/weatherproof enclosure design. They will be comfortable analysing technical and commercial data, identifying trends, and translating insights into product improvements and strategy. Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills are essential to effectively manage cross-functional teams and prioritise product features based on customer and business value.

*Minimum Requirements*

*Education:*
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree (Engineering or MBA) preferred.

Experience:

  • 7+ years in product management, product engineering, or electrical/mechanical engineering within power generation, genset manufacturing, or related industries
  • Demonstrated experience with generator sets (diesel/gas), balance of plant, and packaged power solutions
  • Strong understanding of genset enclosures (acoustic, weatherproof, containerised solutions), thermal management, and integration of auxiliary systems
  • Familiarity with data centre power infrastructure, standby/prime power applications, and grid-support systems
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across engineering, supply chain, and commercial functions
  • Ability to interpret, communicate, and present complex technical information

*Travel: Up to 15%*

*Key Responsibilities*

  • Lead the full product development lifecycle (PDP) for power generation products, including gensets, enclosure systems, and integrated power solutions
  • Define and execute product strategy and roadmap aligned with long-term business objectives and energy market trends
  • Conduct detailed market analysis covering customer requirements, regulatory considerations, competitive landscape, and pricing benchmarks within the power generation and data centre sectors
  • Develop and manage Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), ensuring clear definition of technical specifications, performance criteria, and compliance requirements
  • Drive product launch activities, including positioning, messaging, and value propositions tailored to applications such as data centres, industrial facilities, and critical infrastructure
  • Analyse product cost structures, bill of materials (BOM), and margin performance to identify optimisation opportunities and support pricing strategy
  • Monitor product performance, reliability data, VOC feedback, and sales metrics to refine product offerings and go-to-market strategies
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers, EPC contractors, suppliers, and industry bodies within the power generation and data centre ecosystem
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams on genset integration, enclosure design, cooling/ventilation systems, and compliance with relevant standards (e.g. emissions, noise, safety)
  • Support sales teams with technical training, bid support, product demonstrations, and customer-facing engagements
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across product design, manufacturability, and serviceability
