We are looking for a UI/UX Designer to join our team and work on our current open-world project, Autonomica. This role is ideal for a designer who is confident in Figma, understands game UI production workflows, and can help bring clean, functional, and immersive interfaces into the engine.
In this position, you will design user flows, wireframes, and final interface layouts, while also supporting implementation inside Unity. The ideal candidate should be comfortable not only creating polished UI/UX solutions, but also preparing assets and assembling prefabs in-engine for testing and iteration. Your goal is to help create interfaces that are readable, cohesive, and aligned with the visual identity of the project.

#### Responsibilities

  • Design and refine user interface layouts, flows, and interaction patterns for gameplay systems, menus, and in-game screens.
  • Create wireframes, mockups, and final UI presentations in Figma.
  • Work closely with Game Design, Art, and Engineering to ensure usability, clarity, and consistency across the project.
  • Prepare UI assets for implementation and support the assembly of UI prefabs in Unity.
  • Maintain and improve existing interface systems while following established visual and technical guidelines.
  • Help ensure that UI elements remain functional, scalable, and readable across different gameplay contexts.

#### Technical Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Figma for wireframing, prototyping, and final UI design.
  • Solid understanding of UI/UX principles, player readability, hierarchy, and interaction design in games.
  • Ability to prepare production-ready UI assets and documentation for implementation.
  • Practical knowledge of Unity and the ability to assemble and maintain prefabs within the engine.
  • Understanding of layout systems, anchors, responsive scaling, and general UI implementation workflows.
  • Ability to work within an established art direction and adapt designs to an existing visual style.

#### Bonus Points

  • Experience designing interfaces for survival, crafting, automation, or open-world games.
  • Understanding of motion design and subtle UI animation principles.
  • Experience working with player feedback and usability iteration.
  • Familiarity with technical limitations and optimization practices for in-game UI.
  • Ability to collaborate across disciplines and communicate ideas clearly through documentation and mockups.

#### Software Stack

  • Design: Figma.
  • Engine: Unity.
  • Bonus: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or equivalent supporting tools.
