
QA Engineer
Role summary
Enertech, a business unit of Curtiss-Wright, is seeking a Quality Engineer in Brea, CA, to develop and apply quality standards, inspection methods, and documentation. The role involves reviewing nonconformances, implementing corrective actions, participating in audits, and analyzing quality data to identify trends and support continuous improvement. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, 1-3+ years of experience in quality engineering or manufacturing, and knowledge of quality systems, inspection methods, and regulatory standards like GLP, GMP, ISO, and Six Sigma. The engineer will interface with customers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve quality issues and communicate findings.
Location: Brea, CA
Salary: $74,100 - $90,000

Your Challenge
- Develop and apply quality standards, inspection methods, and documentation for receiving, in-process, and final inspections in alignment with company and contractual requirements (25%).
- Review in-process nonconformances, determine disposition, and assist in implementing corrective actions to address product or process deviations (20%).
- Participate in audits, prepare supporting documentation, and contribute to adherence with internal and external quality, safety, and regulatory standards (20%).
- Interface with customers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve routine quality issues and communicate inspection findings or quality status updates (20%).
- Analyze production and quality data to identify trends, recommend procedural updates, and support continuous improvement of quality systems (15%).
Your Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- 1–3+ years of experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or related technical functions
- Knowledge of quality systems, inspection methods, and regulatory or industry standards (GLP, GMP, ISO, Six Sigma)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret data and identify trends
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams
- Ability to follow established engineering and quality procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Proficiency with quality tools, inspection techniques, and basic statistical methods
