Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive testing of electronic assemblies using surface mount technology techniques to verify functionality and adherence to specifications
  • Perform quality inspections on components and finished products utilizing schematics, technical drawings, and ASME codes & standards
  • Utilize hand tools, calipers, micrometers, soldering equipment, and non-destructive testing methods to evaluate product integrity
  • Collect and analyze data related to product performance, defect rates, and manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement
  • Implement quality assurance protocols by inspecting assemblies for defects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and documenting findings accurately
  • Assist in the development and review of schematics and assembly instructions to optimize manufacturing workflows
  • Support mechanical knowledge application during assembly and testing procedures to troubleshoot issues effectively

Experience

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on electronics or mechanical systems
  • Strong understanding of surface mount technology (SMT) processes and quality control measures
  • Familiarity with quality inspection techniques, data collection methods, and analysis skills for process improvement
  • Knowledge of ASME codes & standards relevant to manufacturing and product safety
  • Hands-on experience with hand tools, calipers, micrometers, soldering equipment, and non-destructive testing methods
  • Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and assembly instructions with precision
  • Mechanical knowledge combined with attention to detail to perform thorough quality assurance inspections
