About the Role

This job posting is for an existing, active vacancy. We are seeking a skilled Azure Data Engineer to join our team in Brampton, Ontario. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Azure data services, including Azure Databricks, along with proficiency in Python and Spark. This role involves designing and delivering scalable data solutions to support business analytics and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines on Microsoft Azure
  • Implement data integration solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other Azure services
  • Build and manage data lakes and data warehouses using Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, and Azure Synapse Analytics
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency through effective validation and cleansing processes
  • Optimize data storage, transformation, and retrieval for performance and cost efficiency
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain data pipelines and workflows to ensure reliability and scalability

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on Azure technologies
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Azure Data Factory
  • Azure Databricks
  • Azure Data Lake Storage
  • Azure SQL Data Warehouse / Azure Synapse Analytics
  • Proficiency in SQL and strong understanding of data modeling concepts
  • Experience with Python or Scala for data processing
  • Hands-on experience with any reporting or visualization tools
