Role summary

EquipmentShare is seeking a Test Engineer I to join their Embedded team in Columbia, MO. This role is responsible for contributing to the architecture of their in-house platform. Key responsibilities include creating test schedules, preparing test procedures, conducting data acquisition with test equipment, analyzing test results, and supporting manufacturing and engineering with troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with data acquisition and sensors, and the ability to read engineering drawings. Knowledge of Google or Microsoft Office is also required. This is a full-time, onsite position within the construction industry.

The EquipmentShare team’s mission is to improve productivity and efficiency throughout the entire construction industry, and our people are how we make achieving that goal possible. Our Embedded team is building construction automation solutions to further this mission.
Our Test Engineer will be capable of jumping right in and will be responsible for adding to the architecture of our in-house platform.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create and manage overall test schedules
  • Prepare and issue test procedures and/or requirements
  • Perform instrumentation setup and conduct data acquisition with test equipment
  • Analyze test results, summarize data, prepare evaluation reports
  • Provide support to manufacturing and engineering to troubleshoot problems
  • Maintenance and calibration test equipment

Skills & Qualifications

  • High mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in construction, agriculture, or automotive industries
  • Knowledge of Google or Microsoft Office
  • Able to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work independently and as a team to perform individual tasks to complete project activity
  • Experience with data acquisition and sensors
  • Preference for experience in testing and/or data acquisition

Education

  • BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science , Computer Engineering
