Chief Financial Officer

Position: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States

Who are we recruiting for:

Our client is a fast-growing renewable energy IPP backed by a multi-billion-dollar infrastructure investment fund. With a strong pipeline of operational and development-stage assets across North America, the platform is entering a key phase of strategic and financial growth and is seeking a CFO to play a central role in scaling the business.

What will you be doing:

-You will lead the overall financial strategy of the platform, supporting both operational performance and long-term growth objectives.

-You will oversee corporate finance activities including debt structuring, refinancing, liquidity management and capital allocation.

-You will manage relationships with shareholders, lenders, auditors, advisors and financial institutions.

-You will lead all financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting activities across the platform and SPV structure.

-You will support M&A, project financing and fundraising processes alongside the investment and leadership teams.

-You will ensure robust financial governance, controls, compliance and risk management processes are in place.

-You will oversee treasury, accounting, tax and financial operations functions, building scalable processes as the platform grows.

-You will act as a strategic business partner to the CEO and investors, contributing to board-level decision-making and corporate strategy.

Are you the ideal candidate?

-Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related discipline. MBA and/or professional qualifications are advantageous.

-Extensive experience in senior finance leadership positions within renewable energy, infrastructure, IPPs, private equity-backed platforms or energy transition environments.

-Strong expertise across project finance, corporate finance, refinancing and capital structuring.

-Experience managing complex financial structures across multiple SPVs and jurisdictions.

-Strong understanding of renewable energy business models, investment frameworks and lender requirements.

-Experience engaging with institutional investors, infrastructure funds and financing counterparties.

-Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

-Ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on in a high-growth environment.
