About The Role
The Business Analyst role at Nucor Towers & Structures Inc. is a vital part of the IT Support team, responsible for providing essential support for enterprise systems, primarily focusing on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) and user security/access administration. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals early in their IT careers to gain hands-on experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and develop technical skills in system support, security management, and business applications. The Business Analyst will serve as the first point of contact for user inquiries, system issues, and access requests, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining high customer service standards. The role involves troubleshooting, documentation, testing, and supporting user onboarding and offboarding processes, with a focus on security protocols and internal controls. The position may require working outside regular hours, including nights, weekends, or holidays, to support operational needs and system updates, offering a dynamic and engaging work environment.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will possess an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business, or a related field. Candidates with relevant internship experience or practical exposure to IT support roles will be considered favorably. A basic understanding of business systems, ERPs, or enterprise applications is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies. Reliability, accountability, and a customer service-oriented mindset are essential qualities for success in this role. Additionally, candidates should be able to work independently, follow established procedures, and prioritize safety at all times.
Responsibilities

  • Provide front-line support for users of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and other enterprise applications, responding to questions, error messages, and system issues promptly.
  • Document and track all support requests, ensuring accurate records are maintained for audit and internal control purposes.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and escalate complex issues to senior team members or external vendors as necessary.
  • Assist in testing and validating system updates, patches, and new features to ensure functionality aligns with business requirements.
  • Support user access management, including account creation, role assignment, deactivation, and adherence to security policies.
  • Follow established procedures for system security, segregation of duties, and access governance to maintain compliance and data integrity.
  • Participate in onboarding and offboarding processes related to system access, ensuring smooth transitions and security compliance.
  • Maintain awareness of security best practices and contribute to continuous improvement of access controls and procedures.
  • Support safety initiatives by adhering to safety policies, promoting a safe work environment, and participating in safety training and practices.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure seamless system support and continuous improvement.
