Role summary

We are seeking a Semiconductor Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and compliance of cutting-edge mixed-signal IC/semiconductor solutions. This role involves leading failure analysis investigations, managing RMA processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will develop and maintain quality procedures, support audits, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. The position requires close collaboration with design, manufacturing, and customer support teams, communicating findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a fast-paced, high-reliability environment. A BS/MSEE/CE or equivalent and 10+ years of relevant experience are required.

Semiconductor Quality Assurance Engineer - Orange County, CA

  • Develop cutting-edge, high-performance mixed-signal IC/semiconductor solutions, ensuring quality, reliability, and compliance of products throughout their lifecycle
  • Lead failure analysis investigations
  • Manage return material (RMA) processes
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance both product and process quality
  • Develop and maintain quality procedures, supporting audits, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, and customer support teams while communicating findings and recommendations to stakeholders

*Requires:*

  • BS/MSEE/CE or equivalent and at least ten (10+ years of semiconductor or electronics quality assurance and engineering experience
  • Hands-on experience in failure analysis techniques and tools, data-driven problem solving, and established quality systems such as ISO 9001
  • Proven experience managing RMA processes and customer returns
  • Ability to look at a wafer and see flaws
  • Strong understanding of quality systems (AS9100, ISO 9001)
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing and test processes
  • Certification in quality methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, CQE)
  • Experience with reliability testing and qualification methods, root cause analysis, and problem-solving
  • Experience with data analysis and statistical methods, technical report writing and customer communications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-reliability environment with proven attention-to-detail and process discipline
