Role summary

Fox Corporation is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join their Platforms Infrastructure team. This role will be responsible for building and maintaining large-scale public-facing digital infrastructure and applications used by millions across web, mobile, and living room devices. Key responsibilities include building secure and scalable cloud solutions on AWS, automating operational processes with IaC and CI/CD tools, improving alerting mechanisms, and working within multi-region environments. The engineer will collaborate with other teams in an Agile setting, leveraging scripting languages and containerization technologies. Experience with networking concepts, microservices, and various cloud platforms is essential.

Fox Corporation is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join our Platforms Infrastructure team. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for building Fox’s large scale public facing digital infrastructure and applications used by millions of users across web, mobile, and living room devices, and our systems power marquee programming and events, such as World Series, Super Bowl, FIFA Women’s World Cup, FIFA World Cup, Local and National Elections, Weather, and Breaking News. You will work closely with multiple Engineering teams and assist with the architecture and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure and applications.
a Snapshot Of Your Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain secure and scalable cloud solutions for highly available digital services
  • Build and integrate tools to automate operational processes for improved CI/CD infrastructure automation, capacity provisioning, cost and performance optimizations
  • Build and improve our alerting and escalation mechanisms
  • Experience building, monitoring and working within multi-region active/active environments
  • Work with other engineering teams, to drive projects in an Agile environment

what You Will Need

  • Hands on experience building and managing application infrastructure on AWS (using services such as IAM, API Gateway, S3, Dynamodb, RDS, SQS, VPC, EC2, ECS, Lambda, Opensearch)
  • Hands on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Cloudformation/Terraform/Ansible
  • Hands on experience with one or more scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Nodejs
  • Understanding of DNS, TCPDUMP, HTTP, CDNs, SSL, Git, Firewalls and networking concepts (VPC, subnetting, ZeroTrust, NAT, etc)
  • Experience building infrastructure automation pipelines with tools such as Github Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI
  • Experience with serverless computing and familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker, Fargate, ECS, Kubernetes
  • Practical knowledge of microservice architecture and tools such as Consul for service discovery and Linkerd for a service mesh
  • Experience working and developing on \*nix environments, GCP and Akamai
  • Passion for learning
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $114,000.00-152,500.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
