AI Automation Engineer
Role summary
A globally recognized professional services firm is seeking an AI Automation Engineer in Boston. This hybrid role involves partnering with stakeholders to identify and implement automation and AI solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio, SharePoint, Power BI). Responsibilities include process analysis, design, development, deployment, integration, documentation, testing, and optimization of automation workflows. The role requires 5+ years of experience in application design and workflow automation, with expertise in the Microsoft Power Platform and a solid understanding of business analysis and process improvement. Knowledge of machine learning and AI concepts is preferred. The position offers a competitive salary up to $170,000 plus benefits.

Job Responsibilities
- Partner with business and legal stakeholders to identify automation and AI opportunities that enhance workflow efficiency.
- Map and analyze processes to uncover bottlenecks and recommend streamlined solutions.
- Design, develop, and deploy automation workflows using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio, SharePoint, Power BI).
- Integrate automation tools with existing firm systems and data sources.
- Maintain documentation and ensure process consistency across teams.
- Oversee testing, deployment, and ongoing optimization of automation projects.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
- Stay ahead of emerging AI and legal tech trends to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience Needed
- 5+ years of experience in application design, development, and workflow/process automation.
- Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Power Platform, including Copilot Studio, Power Automate, PowerApps, SharePoint, and Power BI.
- Solid understanding of process improvement methodologies and business analysis.
- Knowledge of machine learning and AI concepts.
- Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Prior experience in a law firm or professional services environment is a plus.
