Job Description
GigaTECH provides a broad range of IT services for Government clients, specializing in Healthcare IT. We have an immediate opening for a mid-level Software Testing & Quality Assurance Engineer responsible for Lead comprehensive testing, validation, and quality assurance activities for a complex Federal cloud integration solution serving millions of clients. Our delivery is for a polypharmacy solution in a complex, multi-system cloud integration solution for Department of Veterans Affairs healthcare system that services millions of veterans. You are responsible for developing and executing test strategies across infrastructure, integration, security, and performance domains to ensure the solution meets functional requirements, security controls, and compliance standards necessary for RMF/ATO approval within a 6-month timeline.
Responsibilities:
- Configure networking, load balancing, and scaling
- Deploy containerized services (ECS or OpenShift)
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and environment management
- Integrate logging, monitoring, and observability tools
- Maintain system reliability and uptime
Requirements:
- AWS Core Services: ECS, EC2, VPC, ALB/NLB, IAM, S3
- Containerization: Docker image management, container lifecycle
- Orchestration: ECS (preferred), basic Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift exposure
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar
- CI/CD Tools: GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps pipelines
- Networking Fundamentals: Subnets, routing, security groups, NACLs
- Monitoring & Logging: CloudWatch, log aggregation, metrics dashboards
- Security Basics: IAM roles, least privilege, secrets management
- High Availability & Scaling: Auto-scaling groups, health checks, failover
- Environment Management: Dev/test/prod separation, configuration management
- Troubleshooting: Logs, metrics, container failures, networking issues
- Natural relationship builder.
- A plus is VA-specific knowledge and Veterans.
