Job Brief
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SFCC Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) to support the development of scalable and high-performing eCommerce solutions.
In this role, you will be responsible for backend development, system integrations, and performance optimisation while ensuring adherence to best coding and security practices. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in SFCC along with a strong understanding of modern eCommerce architectures and backend systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend functionalities on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC).
- Work extensively with SFRA (Storefront Reference Architecture) to support backend services.
- Build and maintain integrations with third-party systems such as payment gateways, OMS, and external APIs.
- Optimise backend performance using caching strategies and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
- Ensure adherence to security standards, coding guidelines, and development best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, product managers, and QA teams.
Qualifications
- 8–12+ years of experience in backend development.
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC).
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Node.js.
- Hands-on experience with SFCC components such as Business Manager, Jobs, Pipelines, and Controllers.
- Experience working with OCAPI / Commerce APIs and third-party integrations.
- Good understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-based systems.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git or Bitbucket.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
