What you’ll be doing:

You’ll be a key member of our engineering team responsible for validating performance, durability, and reliability of products used in demanding marine and safety-rescue applications. In this role, you will design and execute test plans, design and build custom test systems, develop automated tests, and work closely with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure our products meet the highest standards of performance, safety, and reliability. You will help bring new products from concept through real-world validation while also advancing our internal testing capabilities, lab organization, and automation tools. More specifically, you will:

• Take ownership of product validation, developing and executing test plans that confirm performance, durability, and reliability
• Design, build, and set up custom test fixtures and instrumentation to support both development testing and production needs
• Develop and improve automated test systems, including software, sensors, and data acquisition, to increase repeatability and efficiency
• Analyze test results and communicate clear, actionable feedback to engineering teams
• Collaborate closely with engineers across disciplines to ensure products are robust, testable, and ready for production
• Continuously improve the test lab by enhancing equipment, layout, processes, and automation to support safe, efficient, and scalable operations

Qualifications we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Minimum of 1 year experience
• Strong hands-on mechanical and technical aptitude, with interest in testing, instrumentation, or automation
• Experience with sensors, data acquisition, or automated testing systems
• Ability to design fixtures or mechanical setups to support testing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work closely with cross-functional teams
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple assignments

Experience that sets you apart:

• Experience with LabVIEW or similar data acquisition / automation software
• Experience working in a product development, manufacturing, or test lab environment
• Familiarity with SolidWorks or other CAD software for fixture design
• Experience with durability, fatigue, or life-cycle testing
• Experience with load testing, instrumentation, or mechanical test fixtures
• Interest in sailing, climbing, rescue, or mechanical equipment
