We're working with a premier global defense and technology consultancy on this exciting opportunity. Secure the communications of the modern warfighter by designing and hardening mission-critical email infrastructure against advanced persistent threats.
This isn't just about maintenance; it's about engineering solutions that stand up to the most sophisticated cyber threats using industry-leading tools like Cisco IronPort, Microsoft Azure, and F5 Load Balancers. You'll bridge the gap between network design and zero-day threat detection to ensure secure, seamless communication for the DoD.
The Role

  • Engineer and integrate secure email components, moving beyond legacy models to implement cutting-edge anti-spoofing and anti-manipulation protocols.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to recommend and implement security policies while reviewing metrics to assess long-term policy effectiveness.
  • Resolve complex technical service tickets and investigate new techniques for encrypted email inspection and cloud service provider integration.
  • Lead critical approaches to network design, balancing high-level security needs with essential mission requirements and warfighter connectivity.
  • Develop and troubleshoot custom Perl-formatted scripts and regex signatures to identify and mitigate emerging email-based threats.

What You'll Need

  • Solid knowledge of networking and cybersecurity concepts with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance and achieve a DoD 8140 IAT Level II Certification within 6 months of start date.
  • Familiarity with core email protocols including SMTP, DNS, and secure standards like TLS, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
  • Hands-on interest or experience with Cisco IronPort ESA, Microsoft Azure environments, or F5 load balancing technology.
  • Strong analytical skills to read and interpret email headers and diagnose complex delivery or security issues.

What's On Offer

  • Highly competitive salary range ($55k - $126k) based on experience, education, and technical competencies.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, life, disability, and a robust retirement/financial plan.
  • Professional growth via tuition assistance, specialized training, and career development programs.
  • Flexible hybrid work model focused on a people-first culture and collaborative mission success.
