Vice President, Alternative Investments Data Strategy
We're working with one of the world's most influential global asset management powerhouses on this high-impact leadership opportunity. We are looking for a visionary strategist to redefine how data drives institutional investment for private markets and hedge funds.
In this executive-level role, you will architect the data backbone for a multi-trillion dollar investment ecosystem. You’ll be at the intersection of Finance and Technology, leveraging expertise in Data Governance, Cloud-based data flows, and Alternative Investment Operations to drive massive operational efficiency and competitive alpha.
The Role
• Define and execute a sophisticated data strategy for Alternative Products, including Private Equity, Hedge Funds, and Real Estate portfolios.
• Architect end-to-end data lifecycles and External Money Manager (EMM) data acquisition frameworks to eliminate manual processing.
• Champion modern Data Governance standards, ensuring high-quality metadata, lineage, and architecture across global investment domains.
• Partner with Product and Technology leads to build advanced analytics dashboards and automated reporting solutions for the FFIO lifecycle.
• Lead large-scale organizational change, influencing senior stakeholders to adopt a data-centric culture centered on scalability and risk mitigation.
What You'll Need
• Extensive leadership experience in Financial Services, specifically focused on Data Strategy, Fund Accounting, or Investment Operations.
• Deep domain expertise in Alternative Investments, including Private Markets, Portfolio Transaction Data, and complex asset classes.
• Proven track record of implementing Enterprise Data Management (EDM) principles, Data Quality frameworks, and automated data pipelines.
• Exceptional communication skills with the power to translate complex data architecture into strategic business value for executive stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in lifecycle management, data modeling, and leveraging insights through advanced visualization tools.
