About The Role
Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services, is seeking an Associate Software Engineer Developer in Hazelwood, MO, for the Department of Navy Tomahawk Land-Attack Missile program. The Tomahawk program continues to grow and expand as a relevant deterrent against adversaries across the globe and is employed by multiple military organizations. This program is expected to remain in active service for the foreseeable future.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of non-embedded software throughout its lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industry, customer, and safety standards for the Tomahawk program, while adhering to strict government regulations. You will review, analyze, and translate customer requirements into initial software designs, and develop, maintain, enhance, and optimize software products and functionalities for system integrations. Debugging and resolving issues to ensure software reliability and efficiency will also be key responsibilities, providing critical support to mission success and operational readiness.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Active U.S. Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance
- At least 2 years of experience with VB.NET or C#.NET in a desktop environment
- Experience working with SQL or other relational databases
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
- Experience with .NET Framework (WinForms)
- Knowledge of Web Services (SOAP or REST)
- Proficiency in Windows environments (Windows 10/11, Windows Server)
- Experience with project management tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps Pipelines or other CI/CD tools
- Experience with unit testing frameworks like xUnit, JUnit, NUnit, or MS Test
- Knowledge of C++ programming
- Agile development methodology experience
- Strong mathematical analysis skills or a STEM degree
- Security+ certification or a degree in Computer Science
Responsibilities
- Handle user inquiries, troubleshoot technical issues, and analyze user feedback to improve software performance
- Implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulatory changes relevant to software development
- Execute and document software research and development projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards and client specifications
- Translate customer requirements into initial software designs, developing prototypes and detailed specifications
- Develop, enhance, and optimize software products for system integration and performance
- Debug and resolve software issues, ensuring reliability, security, and efficiency of applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions within project timelines
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to maintain high standards of software quality
