Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Lead Engineer Process Automation, based in the Hannover-Braunschweig-Göttingen-Wolfsburg Region with flexibility for some remote work. The Lead Engineer will design, develop, and implement advanced process automation systems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure solutions comply with industry standards. Daily responsibilities include working on system integrations, troubleshooting, optimizing automation workflows, and mentoring junior engineers. The role also involves maintaining quality control, driving innovation, and supporting project delivery timelines.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Process Automation, System Integration, SIMATIC PCS7 and other and Industrial Automation systems
- Technical proficiency in DCS/PLC, SCADA, and IoT systems
- Knowledge of Industry 4.0 advancements and technologies
- Strong skills in Project Management and Leadership
- Experience in Troubleshooting, Workflow Optimization, and Quality Assurance
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Degree in Engineering, Automation, or a related field; advanced degrees are advantageous
- Previous experience in the process industry or similar sectors is a plus
