Role Overview
The Chief Technology Officer will define and execute the technology strategy underpinning the company’s trading, operational, and infrastructure initiatives.
This role ensures that digital platforms, trading systems, operational controls, and data frameworks are designed and delivered to meet the highest standards of performance, security, and scalability.
The CTO will directly influence trading efficiency, operational excellence, and enterprise credibility with partners and financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities
Technology Strategy & Enterprise Architecture
• Define and execute the company’s end-to-end technology strategy aligned with commercial and operational goals.
• Build and manage scalable digital platforms for trading, risk management, and operations.
• Ensure infrastructure and software solutions support physical energy trading across multiple commodities.
Trading Systems & Operational Excellence
• Lead deployment and optimization of trading platforms, data analytics, and automation tools.
• Support real-time trade capture, settlement, and reconciliation processes.
• Ensure integration of operational systems with infrastructure initiatives (storage, terminals, pipelines).
Cybersecurity & Compliance
• Define and implement security and compliance frameworks aligned with institutional standards.
• Ensure data integrity, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance across all technology systems.
Strategic Infrastructure & Innovation
• Collaborate with commercial and operations teams to support infrastructure projects, including storage, terminals, pipelines, and potential refinery acquisition.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance trading performance, margin optimization, and operational efficiency.
Executive Leadership
• Report directly to CEO and collaborate with senior leadership to align technology strategy with corporate vision and commercial objectives.
• Establish governance and best practices for project management, vendor management, and enterprise architecture.
• Build and lead high-performing technology teams across geographies.

Candidate Profile – Mandatory Criteria
⚠️ Only candidates with 10+ years of senior technology leadership experience in energy, trading, or industrial infrastructure environments will be considered.
• Proven experience leading large-scale technology and digital platforms in trading, energy, or complex operations.
• Deep knowledge of physical trading systems, risk platforms, and operational tools.
• Experience in building multi-functional technology teams and managing vendors or system integrators.
• Track record of aligning technology strategy with institutional and commercial requirements.
• Strategic mindset with strong execution and delivery capability.
• Fluent English required; additional languages advantageous.
