Role summary

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with hands-on experience in Snowflake, DBT, EDW, and Control M. The role requires strong expertise in writing complex PL/SQL queries and a solid understanding of Agile methodologies. Experience in the Property & Casualty Insurance domain is essential. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing ETL processes, providing production support in data warehousing, utilizing cloud environments (Azure, AWS), and managing code with Git/Azure DevOps. The engineer will also be involved in IT automation, batch scheduling, and mentoring junior team members. Weekend support may be required based on a roster.

Role Overview

The associate should have good real-time hands-on experience with Snowflake, DBT, EDW, Control M
Should have strong expertise in writing complex PL SQL queries
Should be well versed with Agile delivery and Property & Casualty Insurance domain experience
Ready to support weekends based on the roster

Key Accountabilities

Deep understanding of the Snowflake cloud data platform – writing procedures, functions, UDFs, Snowflake window functions etc. (5+ years)
Strong hands-on experience with DBT for modular SQL development, testing, and deployment (3+ years)
Proficient in writing complex, efficient, and maintainable SQL queries
Experience with cloud environments (Azure, AWS etc.) and data management technologies
Proven ability to design and implement data extraction, transformation, and loading processes
Proven experience in production support in data warehousing
Experience in Property and Casualty Insurance domain
Proficiency in using Git / Azure DevOps for version control of code
Experience with IT automation, batch scheduling using tools such as Control M and DevOps principles
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet data-driven business objectives
Mentor junior resources and share knowledge, work as a team to get requirements delivered
Stay updated with the latest Snowflake features and best practices
Nice to have skills: Python scripting
