One of our clients is seeking an experienced Sr. Engineering Program Manager to lead systems definition through final delivery and certification of advanced avionics solutions. This role requires strong technical leadership in avionics system architecture, aircraft certification, and program execution, serving as the single point of accountability for engineering work scope.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Systems Ownership

- Serve as the technical and systems leader for the development and certification of integrated avionics solutions for
Part 23 and Part 25 aircraft
- Own system architecture and ensure alignment with program strategy, requirements, and intended system functions
- Lead and coordinate all technical aspects of the system across its lifecycle, including multiple installations and programs
- Ensure consideration of export compliance, certification requirements, cybersecurity, and human factors

Program & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary technical interface across internal teams, customers, suppliers, regulators, and other stakeholders
  • Lead internal and customer technical design reviews and align with chief engineering leadership on design approaches
  • Serve as a cross-functional leader across distributed teams and programs

Execution & Delivery

  • Drive end-to-end program execution from system definition through delivery and certification
  • Ensure technical solutions meet program requirements and business objectives
  • Monitor program status across engineering, certification, and integration activities
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery

Continuous Improvement & Mentorship

  • Drive process improvements in systems engineering and program execution practices
  • Mentor and support engineers and team members, fostering innovation and technical growth
  • Motivate and guide teams through complex challenges to meet customer commitments
  • Promote proactive execution and accountability across the team

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field)
- 12+ years of experience in avionics systems or related engineering domains
- 5+ years of experience leading projects in a multi-functional, dynamic environment
- Experience with
Part 23 and Part 25 aircraft
and FAA certification programs
- Strong background in avionics system definition, design, and integration
- Demonstrated experience managing technical programs from concept through certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, or Aerospace Engineering
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience working with distributed/global engineering teams
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance for diverse audiences

Additional Requirements

  • Must meet U.S. export control requirements (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible status under applicable regulations)
  • Ability to work on-site as required (#LI-On-Site)
