Role summary

Dice is seeking an SDET for Collabera LLC in Chicago, IL. This is a 6-month contract role with potential for extensions, paying $53-$57/hr. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of SDET experience, with strong expertise in end-to-end testing, release validation, and ensuring high-quality software delivery in Agile environments. Experience with Kafka-based event-driven architectures, API/service testing (REST/SOAP) using Postman/SoapUI, and cross-browser/platform testing with Sauce Labs is required. Proficiency in Java, automation frameworks (Selenium/Appium, Groovy), web technologies (XML, JavaScript, HTML, CSS), debugging tools (Splunk), version control (Git/Subversion), SQL, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins) is essential.

Job Title: SDET

Pay Rate: $53 - $57/hr.
Must have's:

  • 5+ years of SDET experience with strong expertise in end-to-end testing, release validation, and ensuring high-quality software delivery across Agile environments
  • Hands-on experience testing Kafka-based event-driven architectures, validating message queues, payload integrity, and downstream system processing across distributed systems
  • Proficient in API/service testing (REST and SOAP) using tools such as Postman and SoapUI, with additional experience in cross-browser and cross-platform testing using Sauce Labs or equivalent tools
  • Strong technical proficiency in Java and automation frameworks (Selenium/Appium, Groovy), along with web technologies (XML, JavaScript, HTML, CSS) for test automation development and maintenance
  • Experienced in debugging and root cause analysis using system logs (ex - Splunk), version control systems (Git/Subversion), SQL-based data validation, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
