Role summary

Dice client Della Infotech is seeking an experienced Embedded Test Engineer in Atlanta, GA. This onsite role requires 5+ years of experience in manual and embedded device testing, scripting, debugging, test planning, and hardware-based debuggers, with a focus on IoT projects and automation. The engineer will be responsible for device testing, validation, troubleshooting, supporting CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), developing automation scripts (Python, PyTest), and mobile automation (Appium). They will also manage lab infrastructure, documentation, and collaborate with QA and Development teams. Domain knowledge in consumer electronics, especially Bluetooth-enabled products, is essential.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Set up, configure, and maintain computers, servers, and consumer electronic devices (with a focus on Bluetooth-enabled products).
  • Perform device testing, validation, and troubleshooting across hardware, software, and connectivity layers.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions to enable efficient testing and deployment.
  • Collaborate closely with QA and Development teams to reproduce issues, debug failures, and improve product quality.
  • Develop and maintain test frameworks and automation scripts using Python and PyTest.
  • Support mobile automation testing using Appium.
  • Manage lab infrastructure, including test nodes, devices, and network configurations.
  • Maintain clear documentation of test setups, issues, and resolutions.
  • Use tools like Jira and GitHub for issue tracking, version control, and collaboration.
  • Work closely with leads and managers on lab activities and priorities.
  • Coordinate with development teams to support testing and issue resolution.
  • Manage lab operations, including test systems and device availability and network failures and troubleshooting.
  • Provide technical support and solutions to offshore teams based on project needs.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Domain knowledge of consumer electronics, especially devices that communicate over Bluetooth.
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across systems and devices.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work across teams.
  • Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
