Job Title: Embedded Test EngineerJob Description
We are seeking an Embedded Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves working primarily with embedded software, understanding hardware functionality, and performing troubleshooting and testing. You will be responsible for testing both hardware and software components, conducting hands-on tests using various tools, and collaborating with the team to resolve issues.
Responsibilities
- Perform embedded software testing and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality.
- Connect devices to testing fixtures and execute tests using encoders, decoders, signal generators, monitors, and other tools.
- Analyze DC power issues, report findings, and collaborate with the team for solutions.
- Generate detailed test reports and documentation.
- Rework PCBs if issues are discovered during testing, including instructing technicians or electrical engineers on soldering tasks.
- Operate multiple automation consoles, set up test equipment, and run scripts while configuring the devices.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless testing processes and hardware-software integration.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience in embedded systems testing and engineering.
- Strong video experience, or extensive experience in embedded systems testing.
- Ability to analyze PCB boards and high-speed signals, with a basic understanding of hardware schematics.
- Proficiency in using oscilloscopes.
- Experience programming in Python for basic automation and tool configuration.
- Understanding of software and embedded software testing, including firmware testing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in network testing and interfacing with fiber, Ethernet, etc.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on hardware testing experience at the board level.
- Soldering skills and experience.
- Familiarity with digital analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
Work Environment
This position is primarily on-site with some flexibility for remote work. You must be available during core hours from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, while outside of these hours, you can manage your schedule as long as you complete an 8-hour workday. The team comprises 3-5 electrical engineers, 3-5 firmware and software engineers, 3 test engineers, and 2 mechanical engineers located on-site, with additional support from an OEM team of 15 people in Taiwan. You will be part of a collaborative and innovative environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $58.00/hr.
