Role and Objectives:
The Business Systems & Data Analyst is a key member of the IT Solutioning, Intelligence & Analytics team. This role is responsible for advancing the organization’s data, analytics, and core business systems to support operational excellence across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing. The position combines analytical expertise with business process understanding to modernize reporting, enhance data quality, and strengthen data‑driven decision making.
Working collaboratively with cross‑functional stakeholders, the Business Systems & Data Analyst translates business needs into actionable insights, scalable system enhancements, and effective reporting frameworks. This role plays a critical part in digital transformation initiatives and in elevating data governance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Data Management, Analytics & Reporting
- Develop, maintain, and optimize data models, datasets, and ETL pipelines across Power BI, SQL, and integrated systems.
- Design and deliver dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions for Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across all business domains.
- Analyze KPIs, trends, and performance metrics to support strategic and operational decision making.
- Conduct data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance activities to maintain reliable reporting outputs.
Business Systems Analysis & Solutioning
- Analyze, support, and optimize core business systems and integrations, with a focus on Epicor ERP configuration, maintenance, and performance.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, actionable solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
- Lead solution design, testing (including regression testing), troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure system enhancements deliver user‑centered outcomes.
- Support data migrations, system upgrades, and performance tuning related to business systems, reporting, and analytics.
- Provide consultative support to leadership and contribute to business transformation initiatives.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams to identify data, reporting, and system improvement opportunities.
- Lead or support solutioning efforts for complex business challenges, translating requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Deliver training, documentation, and knowledge transfer for dashboards, reports, and system enhancements.
- Contribute to analytics‑driven process improvements and digital transformation initiatives.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Data Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Business, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- 3–5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or Business Analyst, preferably within enterprise or manufacturing environments.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Power BI, SQL, data modeling, ETL processes, and data visualization.
- Demonstrated capability in requirements analysis, business process modeling, and solution design.
- Experience with Epicor ERP (Kinetic), including configuration, BAQs, BPMs, dashboards, REST API, and reporting tools (preferred).
Business & Professional Skills
- Strong understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and operational business processes (preferred).
- Excellent communication, documentation, and technical writing skills.
- Strong project and time management abilities with experience working across cross‑functional teams.
- Analytical thinker with strong problem‑solving skills.
- Experience with vendor management and procurement is considered an asset.
Other Requirements
- Possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License with reliable access to a personal vehicle for inter-site travel (eligible for mileage reimbursement).
- Participate in after-hours support on-call rotations as required.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the region.
- On-site role.
Working Conditions:
- Combination of desk-based tasks and on-site support across office and manufacturing environments; requiring adaptability and attention to safety.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required when entering designated facility areas. (e.g. hard hat, safety boots, high-visibility vest, and eye/ear protection).
- Occasional exposure to high noise levels, temperature fluctuations, and industrial hazards when working in manufacturing plants.
- Ability to concentrate on screen-based tasks for extended durations.
- Ability to lift and move items up to 25 lbs and operate hand tools as needed.
Compensation Package:
- Salary: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 (Dependent on experience)
- Schedule: Monday – Friday
