Kennedy University of Leadership, a partner of the Ducere Global Business School, is seeking an innovative and strategically minded Instructional Design Lead to support the design, development, and continuous enhancement of curriculum and learning experiences across its academic programs. This role is ideal for a forward-looking professional who can combine instructional design expertise, academic quality, and creative problem-solving to build compelling, contemporary, and high-impact educational content.

The Instructional Design Lead will play a key leadership role in developing cutting-edge curriculum and learning materials that are academically sound, professionally relevant, and aligned with accreditation and quality assurance expectations. The successful candidate will bring strong experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and academic collaboration, along with the ability to innovate and lead confidently in a dynamic higher education environment.

Position Summary

The Instructional Design Lead is responsible for leading the design and development of engaging, high-quality curriculum and instructional content for Kennedy University of Leadership, a partner of the Ducere Global Business School. This individual will collaborate with academic leaders, faculty, subject matter experts, and institutional stakeholders to ensure that programs are outcomes-driven, learner-centered, and aligned with applicable accreditation and academic standards.

This role requires a professional who is both strategic and hands-on, capable of guiding academic design initiatives while also contributing directly to curriculum architecture, course development, content quality, and learning innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, revision, and enhancement of curriculum and instructional content across the university’s academic programs
  • Create innovative, high-quality, and academically rigorous learning experiences that reflect current best practices in instructional design and adult learning
  • Ensure that course and program content align with accreditation expectations, academic quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with faculty, academic leaders, subject matter experts, and institutional partners to develop relevant, engaging, and outcomes-based curriculum
  • Guide course design processes, instructional development workflows, and quality assurance review practices across projects
  • Promote best practices in online learning, curriculum mapping, assessment design, learner engagement, and instructional innovation
  • Support continuous improvement by evaluating program effectiveness, learner experience, and curriculum quality, and recommending strategic enhancements
  • Contribute to the development of forward-thinking academic design solutions that position the institution for long-term success
  • Help ensure consistency, excellence, and scalability across a diverse portfolio of learning experiences

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required, with 2+ years of relevant industry and professional experience; Master’s degree preferred
  • Professional experience in instructional design, curriculum development, learning experience design, or academic content development
  • Demonstrated experience designing curriculum and learning content within higher education, academic partnership, or professional learning environments
  • Experience leading projects, guiding cross-functional collaboration, or supporting academic design initiatives
  • Strong understanding of learning outcomes alignment, course design, assessment strategy, curriculum structure, and quality assurance practices
  • Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of quality, creativity, and execution
  • Capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving, and globally oriented educational environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Technology, Higher Education, or a related field
  • Experience working with regional and or programmatic accreditation
  • Experience designing curriculum for university partners, higher education institutions, or global education organizations
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards, academic governance structures, and quality assurance expectations
  • Experience with online, hybrid, and digitally enabled learning models
  • Experience mentoring colleagues, guiding faculty contributors, or supporting collaborative design teams
  • Familiarity with international education, transnational education models, or global academic partnerships
  • Demonstrated ability to think innovatively and contribute to the future direction of academic design
