POSITION DETAILS:

Our Client is a rapidly scaling, highly profitable eCommerce and third-party logistics organization is hiring a
Lead/Staff Software Engineer
to modernize and scale its warehouse management platform and internal and external tools and dashboards.
This role has strong upward mobility for a candidate who is interested in staying hands on but also moving into a management track.

This role leads the evolution of a mission-critical operational platform used to manage warehouse workflows, shipping processes, inventory tracking, and internal operational tooling.

The current system grew quickly to support business growth and now needs a modern architecture that can scale. Much of the logic currently lives in script-based workflows and is being migrated to a
Node.js API and PostgreSQL
data platform.

You will take ownership of the backend systems that power day-to-day warehouse operations, such as building robust APIs, designing workflow logic, and creating systems that improve throughput, visibility, and operational reliability.

This is a high-impact, hands-on engineering role where the software you ship directly affects how efficiently products move through the warehouse and how internal teams manage operations.

*Sample Projects:*

• Backend Modernization & Service Migration - Core business logic currently runs in a legacy scripting environment with reliability and observability limitations.
• Data Model & Persistence Upgrades - Operational data currently lives in lightweight tooling not designed for scale.
• Operational Workflow Rebuilds - Several high-volume workflows require redesign to support increased complexity and transaction scale.
• End-to-End Visibility Enhancements - There is a clear opportunity to extend system visibility across the physical fulfillment chain.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 5+ years building scalable, modern backend systems in production environments
- Strong Node.js / TypeScript experience in API-driven architectures
- Experience working with large datasets and modern data applications (BigQuery, Snowflake)
- Deep PostgreSQL experience (schema design, migrations, query optimization)
- Experience migrating legacy systems to modern stacks
- Familiarity with event-driven systems, webhooks, or integration-heavy environments
- Experience designing systems that support operational workflows, warehouse management logistics, fulfillment, ERP applications and related business processes solutions, highly preferred
- Personality: High-energy, resourceful, transparent communicator, collaborative.
