Role summary

A leader in the Finance & Insurance space is seeking a Manager Software Engineering (Card Experiences) to support financial planning, forecasting, and operational performance initiatives. This remote role requires 6-8+ years in software engineering, with 3+ years in management, and experience delivering consumer-facing applications. The manager will lead and coach a full-stack engineering team, own roadmap delivery, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure high engineering standards. Technical leadership in architecture and code quality, along with strong recruiting and talent development skills, are essential for this role focused on improving business visibility and decision-making within a regulated financial services environment.

For our client, we are seeking a Manager Software Engineering (card Experiences) to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will support financial planning, forecasting, and operational performance initiatives that improve business visibility and decision-making. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to strengthen planning processes, financial discipline, and scalable operations. The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and long-term financial strategy within a regulated financial services environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $200,000 – $250,000 annually
Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a full-stack engineering team in creating customer experiences
  • Own the delivery of the team’s roadmap, ensuring effective execution and planning
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Analytics to set goals and priorities for the Card Experience
  • Ensure high standards in engineering practices, including system design and code quality
  • Establish robust team processes and a culture of constructive feedback
  • Recruit and develop engineering talent through structured interviews and effective hiring practices

Qualifications

  • 6-8+ years in software engineering, with 3+ years in a management role
  • Experience in delivering consumer-facing applications
  • Familiarity with React Native or experience in transitioning teams to it
  • Technical expertise for guiding architecture and quality decisions
  • Strong collaboration abilities to influence cross-functional teams
  • Hands-on technical leadership with coding and architecture involvement
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
