Role summary

A leader in the Finance & Insurance sector is seeking a Director, Software Engineering, Mobile Platform to shape high-impact initiatives at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and execution. This remote role requires partnering across technical and business teams to transform complex ideas into scalable solutions and meaningful outcomes. The Director will influence roadmap priorities and long-term organizational capability, leading and scaling the Mobile Platform organization, defining its vision, and fostering technical excellence. Responsibilities include recruiting, mentoring, and developing a high-performing engineering team, delivering a robust native iOS application, establishing KPIs, and advocating for best practices in mobile development and automation.

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Software Engineering, Mobile Platform to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will shape high-impact initiatives at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and execution. You will partner across technical and business teams to turn complex ideas into scalable solutions and meaningful outcomes. The position offers the opportunity to influence both roadmap priorities and long-term organizational capability.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $228,300 – $315,900 annually
Responsibilities

  • Lead and scale the Mobile Platform organization to enhance mobile strategy
  • Define and execute the vision for the mobile platform, fostering technical excellence and innovation
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team
  • Deliver a robust, user-friendly native iOS application for loan management
  • Establish KPIs to assess engineering efficiency and product performance
  • Advocate for best practices in mobile development and automation

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in leading mobile engineering teams in high-growth tech environments
  • Deep expertise in native mobile development (React Native preferred) for both iOS and Android
  • Strong skills in scaling technical teams and balancing leadership with people management
  • Experience collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Analytics to create customer-centric mobile experiences
  • Data-driven mindset with a focus on measuring impact and continuous improvement
