Role summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. This role involves rigorous testing, automation, and continuous improvement across platforms including mobile applications and web services. You will design and execute test cases, validate end-to-end workflows, conduct exploratory testing, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include defect logging and tracking, release validation, and contributing to QA process improvements. The ideal candidate will have a BS degree, proven software testing experience, expertise in test automation tools (Selenium, Cucumber), mobile testing (Android/iOS), API testing, database querying (SQL), and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps). Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to join our innovative technology team. Duties

  • Own and execute functional, regression, integration, and system testing across GeoToll/Legnetix platforms, including web applications, back-office tools, APIs, and operational processes.
  • Design, document, and maintain detailed test cases and test scenarios aligned with business requirements and user journeys.
  • Validate end-to-end workflows such as account management, transaction processing, reporting, system integrations, and operational procedures.
  • Conduct exploratory testing to identify edge cases, usability concerns, and potential system risks.
  • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and operations teams to understand requirements and ensure accurate validation of acceptance criteria.
  • Log, track, and manage defects using internal tracking tools, providing clear reproduction steps and ensuring proper resolution and closure.
  • Participate in release validation activities, including smoke testing and production readiness assessments.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, test documentation, and overall quality standards.

Qualifications

  • A BS is required.
  • Proven experience in software testing with a strong understanding of QA/QC processes across various methodologies including Agile and Waterfall.
  • Hands-on expertise with test automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, and scripting languages like Python or JavaScript.
  • Solid knowledge of mobile testing on Android and iOS platforms; familiarity with mobile applications testing frameworks is essential.
  • Proficiency in API testing using RESTful APIs; experience with SOAP web services is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of databases such as MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or MongoDB; ability to perform data analysis using SQL or PL/SQL queries.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Azure DevOps; familiarity with DevOps practices is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of system integration testing involving web services (SOAP/REST), service-oriented architecture (SOA), and cloud environments like AWS or Azure.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed root cause analysis; strong debugging skills are essential.
  • Strong communication skills to clearly document test cases, defect reports, and technical support documentation; ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
