Role summary

Leidos is seeking a Program Financial Analyst in Huntsville, AL, to support the Persistent Surveillance Division. This role involves defining program financial goals, creating and maintaining budgets, analyzing progress against baselines, identifying risks and opportunities, and recommending actions for flawless program execution. Responsibilities include preparing financial forecasts and reports, managing general ledgers and cash flow, developing EACs, managing subcontractors, analyzing revenue and costs, and performing month-end closings and variance analyses. The role also involves cash management, invoice submission, collections, and unbilled reduction, with key deliverables including EACs, QFSR, IPR, and AOP. Pricing for on-contract growth is also a responsibility. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, finance, or a related discipline with 4+ years of program finance experience is required, along with knowledge of multiple contract types and strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills. Onsite work in Huntsville is mandatory. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of Leidos financial systems like CostPoint, Cognos, Fusion, and Insight, and proficiency in Microsoft applications.

Leidos Defense Systems Sector has an immediate opening for a Program Financial Analyst to support the Persistent Surveillance Division in Huntsville - AL. As a key member of the program team, you will work directly with the program managers to help define each program's financial goals and objectives; create and maintain a program's budget, analyze progress reported against the program baseline; identify risks and opportunities against the program baseline; and recommend actions to improve progress to achieve flawless program execution.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present financial forecasts, reports, and analysis.
  • Work closely with other functional areas on financial related elements while managing a program general ledger, and monitoring programs cash flow.
  • Develop and drive financial forecasts, EACs; manage subcontractors and analyze the program’s revenue and costs.
  • Help program managers identify programmatic risks and opportunities that will impact program financials while recommending cost reductions and ways to mitigate risk.
  • Responsible for financial performance of the program to include the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Monthly/Quarterly forecast and FP&A activities.
  • Month-end closings and variance/trend analyses
  • Cash management to Inventory analysis as well as timely submittal of invoices, collections, and unbilled reduction.
  • Deliverables: Estimate at Completion (EACs), Quarterly Financial Status Reviews (QFSR), monthly and quarterly business reviews (IPR), and Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
  • Pricing for on-contract growth.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, finance, or a related discipline and 4+ years’ related experience in program finance.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of multiple contract types: FFP, FPLOE, T&M, Cost Plus and hybrid contracts.
  • Willing to work onsite 100% from Huntsville - AL.
  • Analytical, communication, and presentations skills needed.
  • US citizenship is required and able to obtain security clearance as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Leidos financial systems such as: CostPoint, Cognos, Fusion, and Insight.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, such as: Project, Excel, Power Point and Word.

Pay Range $73,450.00 - $132,775.00
