Role summary

AEVEX is seeking a Program Finance Analyst to provide advanced financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting for program and project teams. This role ensures effective cost management and compliance with contractual and corporate requirements, partnering with program management, contracts, and operations. The analyst will monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and support strategic decision-making, ensuring accurate financial reporting throughout the program lifecycle. Key responsibilities include financial forecasting, preparing CSR positions, tracking expenditures, and presenting program-level earned value performance. A Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience or a Master's degree with 1 year of experience is required, along with 2+ years of program finance experience. Proficiency in MS Office, Jira, and/or Tableau is needed, as is the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI DoD clearance. Experience with FAR/DFAR and Agile program management is also required.

The Program Finance Analyst supports program and project teams by providing advanced financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting to ensure effective cost management and compliance with contractual and corporate requirements. This role partners closely with program management, contracts, and operations to monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and support strategic decision-making. The analyst ensures accurate and timely financial reporting throughout the program lifecycle.

Essential Functions

  • Must be experienced in the day-to-day program finance responsibilities of managing program business and financial performance.
  • Provide Monthly, Quarterly, and Semi-Annual Financial Forecasting.
  • Prepare quarterly corporate social responsibility positions and charts.
  • Assist the program team and financial management in monitoring and tracking program expenditures, highlighting issues / concerns / trends, and ensuring program financial commitments are met.
  • Interact with a variety of program and financial management personnel and ensure alignment with company and program processes and procedures.
  • Manage the program process by running project selection boards, establishing project data repository structure, support the development and revisions of project cost estimates and manage project transitions to supported business units.
  • Prepare, analyze, and report/present program level earned value and financial performance to F&BO and Program teams.
  • Effectively communicate performance to leadership teams.
  • Regular and reliable attendance on a full time basis [or in accordance with posted schedule].

    • Qualifications and Competencies

  • Security Clearance-Ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret/SCI DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Jira and/or Tableau
  • Aptitude to facilitate results, self-starter attitude, process oriented, structured problem solver.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and exhibit a proactive, problem solving, cost conscious and company-focused mindset.
  • Deep knowledge of one pillar of business management (Finance, Scheduling, Contracts, Pricing/Estimating), working knowledge of the remaining pillars.
  • Demonstrated Financial and Analytical skills.

    • Education / Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 1 year of professional experience with a related Master's degree.

    • Experience

  • 2+ years Program finance experience to include monthly and quarterly program financial status preparation and analysis.
  • Experience and ability to interface with senior management.
  • Experience in creating and managing Budget Targets and Schedule Milestones.
  • Experience coordinating managers, cross-functional peers, coworkers, and core company personnel while working in a “team” environment.
  • Deep knowledge of one pillar of business management (Finance, Scheduling, Contracts, Pricing/Estimating), working knowledge of another pillar, familiarity and great interest to learn the remaining pillars.
  • Experience supporting and driving programs utilizing agile program management.
  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) / Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR).
