Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Analyst Intern to join our Information Security team. This internship provides hands-on experience in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating cybersecurity threats while supporting the organization’s overall security posture. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, eager to learn, and interested in protecting systems and data from cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring security tools and systems for potential threats or vulnerabilities
  • Analyze security alerts and help investigate incidents
  • Support vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities
  • Help maintain and update security policies, procedures, and documentation
  • Participate in risk assessments and compliance audits
  • Assist in implementing security controls and best practices
  • Conduct research on emerging cybersecurity threats and trends
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure system configurations

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs)
  • Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows and Linux
  • Knowledge of common cybersecurity principles and practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to security tools (e.g., SIEM systems, antivirus, intrusion detection systems)
  • Understanding of ethical hacking concepts
  • Familiarity with scripting or programming (Python, Bash, etc.)
  • Relevant coursework or certifications (e.g., Security+, CEH – optional)
