Role summary
Mann Engineering is seeking a full-time hybrid Building Automation Engineer in Toronto, ON. This role involves designing, configuring, and troubleshooting building automation systems, integrating control systems, and optimizing energy performance for commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities. Responsibilities include commissioning, ensuring safety compliance, collaborating with teams, and implementing automation strategies. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Niagara Technology, troubleshooting for Niagara or KMC systems, strong knowledge in Electrical Engineering and Automation processes, experience with robotics, and the ability to read technical drawings. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is required, with experience in energy management being a plus.

Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Building Automation Engineer, based in Toronto, ON, with opportunities for remote work. The Building Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, configuring, and troubleshooting building automation systems, integrating control systems, and optimizing energy performance in commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities. Day-to-day duties include commissioning systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and implementing innovative automation strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Niagara Technology.
- Troubleshooting and Process Control for Niagara or KMC building automation systems
- Strong knowledge in Electrical Engineering and Automation processes
- Experience with Robotics and related systems
- Solid problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and control schematics
- Proficiency in using building management systems and software tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automation, or a related field
- Previous experience in energy management or building systems is an asset
