Role summary

Orion Associates is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to manage full-cycle recruitment in a high-volume environment. This role involves sourcing, interviewing, evaluating, and hiring qualified candidates across various departments. The specialist will also provide guidance to hiring managers, maintain compliance with employment laws, and analyze recruiting reports. The position is based in Golden Valley, MN, with a hybrid work option after 90 days.

Orion Associates provides business management services like Payroll administration, Training, Human Resources, and more for our various other companies: Meridian Services, Zenith Services, Morning Sun Financial Services, and Little Stars. All of our companies work together to administer high quality professional services for staff while also supporting people with disabilities, the elderly, and their families.
Job Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist
Location: Golden Valley, MN
Schedule: Monday-Friday typical daytime business hours. Eligible to work from home up to 2 days per week after 90 days of employment.
Wage: $25.48 hourly with $2,000 base-rate increase after 6 months of employment
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for full cycle recruitment in a high volume environment. Primarily this position will focus on conducting interviews, sourcing, attracting, evaluating, and hiring qualified candidates across various departments.
Essential Job Duties:

  • Screening resumes and conducting initial phone interviews
  • Extending offers and coordinate start dates for candidates
  • Determining the right fit for the candidates based on KSAO
  • Providing guidance and support to hiring manager on recruitment best practices
  • Coordinating and schedule interview with hiring managers and candidates
  • Consulting with organizational leaders to understand the requirements, duties, and qualifications desired for their respective positions
  • Creating and analyzing weekly recruiting reports to further support department initiatives
  • Maintains and ensures compliance with applicable equal employment opportunity (EEO) and related employment laws and regulations.
  • Attending job fairs, campus events and other networking opportunities
  • Attracting quality candidates by creative sourcing methods
  • Maintaining candidate database and manage applicant tracking system

Required Qualifications:

  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in recruiting/HR
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English communication
  • Successful clearance of Department of Human Services background check
  • Successful clearance of Motor Vehicle Background Check and acceptable driving record per Company Policy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
